Leonard joined EFTPOS in 2005 and is responsible for the IT infrastructure at EFTPOS and DrawCard. He is a qualified electrical engineer with a BSc (Eng) Electrical from Wits and has varied experience in the financial services and card processing arenas.

Leonard was instrumental in designing and implementing South Africa’s first ever Visa claims, gift and payroll cards amongst other prepaid card solutions. Leonard serves on the executive committee of EFTPOS and is responsible for the merchant acquiring IT infrastructure. One of Leonard’s key objectives is product design and innovation within the card issuing and acquiring markets.
